	Gail L. Freeman Gail L. Freeman is Founder and President of Freeman Philanthropic Services, L.L.C., a full-service firm offering a broad range of services including fund-raising consulting, training, and executive search for leading not-for-profit organizations nationwide. As a recognized leader in the not-for-profit field, Ms. Freeman brings more than twenty-five years of experience in executive recruitment. Her broad experience and multi-faceted knowledge base bring a complete perspective to the Firm's numerous clients. Throughout her career, Ms. Freeman has worked in a variety of capacities in the not-for-profit field. Prior to the establishment of her namesake firm, Ms. Freeman served as Vice President and Director for a national retained executive search firm, where she led the Development & Institutional Advancement practice. In this capacity, she managed all aspects of the search process, including client relationships, research, networking, qualification, and final selection of candidates. At the request of People to People International, an organization founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Ms. Freeman was invited to join delegations of not-for-profit executives to meet with Chinese and Russian health, cultural, educational, social service and religious leaders. These delegations led exchanges on building philanthropic support for programs that respond to local needs, an issue of singular importance in the rapidly changing Chinese and Russian economies and societies. Ms. Freeman frequently speaks, writes, and consults within the not-for-profit sector. She has published numerous articles for leading not-for-profit organizations and co-authored "How to Increase Your Annual Fund" (Fund-Raising Management). As a featured speaker for various AFP meetings, conferences, and other venues, Ms. Freeman covers a myriad of topics ranging from career-development to strategic planning. In addition, she has worked with and trained top-level volunteers and staff in fund raising. Ms. Freeman is active in her roles as the Immediate Past Chair of The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University's Board of Visitors, board member for The New School Milano Graduate School and the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy International, and member of American Humanics' Nonprofit Sector Workforce Coalition. She has also served on the board of the Greater New York AFP Chapter and was the co-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Moreover, Ms. Freeman has taken on diverse challenges, including serving as a member of the National Steering Committee for Research America. Ms. Freeman graduated with honors from the Masters Program in Not-for-Profit Management at The New School.

	Ryan T. Davenport, Director of Operations Ryan T. Davenport is the Director of Operations for Freeman Philanthropic Services, L.L.C. Mr. Davenport, former FPS Office Manager, was thrilled to return to FPS as Director of Operations in 2011. With a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Missouri State University, Mr. Davenport danced professionally for over 15 years and produced a Las Vegas magic show for over eight years before transitioning to Corporate America in NYC and ultimately FPS. A proud member of the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps Marching Band, he also enjoys travel and photography. Mr. Davenport was the 24th top fundraiser for AIDS Walk New York 2011.

	Djuana Beranger, Executive Recruiter Djuana Beranger is an Executive Recruiter for Freeman Philanthropic Services, L.L.C. Ms. Beranger possesses a demonstrated ability to successfully partner opportunity with talent. A former recruiter in the corporate sector, she has recruited 100+ employees into various roles. She holds a B.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Some of her responsibilities include: network, source, screen, evaluate and select candidates through a structured recruitment process designed to obtain the most qualified candidates.

	Flavio Dos Santos Furtado, Senior Consultant Flavio Dos Santos Furtado was born in Belo Horizonte, the capital and largest city of the state of Minas Gerais, located in the southeastern region of Brasil. Mr. Furtado is a resident of New York City and specializes in Executive Recruitment for the not-for-profit community in Brasil. Currently, Mr. Furtado is working on recruitments in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Furtado has had extensive experience working for corporations throughout Brasil. For a duration of twenty years, he worked for Avaliadora Geral de Bens (AGB), a general property evaluations company. Mr. Furtado has also worked as a volunteer for Centro Latino in a variety of capacities. He attended Pitagoras and the University of Fumec where he studied Civil Engineering. Mr. Furtado also recently completed the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) First Course in Fundraising. 	Derek C. Bellin, Senior Project Manager & Consultant Derek C. Bellin has recruited over 225 advancement, finance, marketing and communications professionals across the higher education, research, healthcare, advocacy and community development sectors. With FPS since 2005, he has facilitated recruitment of executive leadership for Brandeis University, Brown University, Columbia University, Harvard School of Public Health, Sarah Lawrence College, Stevens Institute of Technology and Tufts University. The Broad Institute of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT are among the research-intensive enterprises he has assisted while he has also served Catholic Charities, Harlem Children's Zone and others in the advocacy arena. Mr. Bellin brings 18 years of preceding advancement and higher education leadership and management experience directing three comprehensive financial resource development campaigns ranging in scale from $100 million to $2.85 billion. Mr. Bellin was with Stanford University during the nation's first $1 billion campaign, the Sierra Club during its inaugural campaign, Columbia University where he directed the $2.85 billion Campaign for Columbia and Case Western Reserve University where he served as Vice President for University Relations and Chief Development, Marketing and Communications Officer. He has an extensive record of principal gift production from domestic and international individual and institutional donor constituencies. At Columbia, he directed both planning and execution of the Campaign for Columbia - at the time the largest campaign in history - including the integration of academic and advancement planning to inform financial goals, academic program objectives and gift and grant implementation. At Case he staffed the inauguration of a new university President, the faculty's selection of honorary degree recipients, the trustee nominating committee for recruitment of more than twenty new university trustees and produced, with the Commission on Presidential Debates, the 2004 Vice Presidential Debate. He also served as a search advisory committee member responsible for recruiting academic leadership including the Provost and Deans of the School of Management, College of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Medicine. His leadership of these philanthropic campaigns, crisis and reputation management and integrated marketing, development and communications programs has achieved the highest recognition by the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (Columbia, Stanford), Public Relations Week Awards and the Holmes Report Golden Sabre (Case). He is an elected elementary school director, emerging reading and literacy volunteer and Fresh Air Fund host in his community and an active rugby referee throughout the United States of America.

	Kevin Clark, Senior Project Manager & Consultant Kevin Clark specializes in executive recruitment for the not-for-profit sector, successfully recruiting top leadership for national and international institutions of higher education, cultural organizations, hospitals, social service and advocacy groups. Mr. Clark works on all aspects of the search with a strong concentration on position profile development, candidate references, and interviewing. Previously, Mr. Clark worked in the not-for-profit sector for a biomedical research institution. He has also served on the junior committee of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution and is an interior designer. His broad knowledge and service within the sector brings a vast network of resources to his clients: The New School, Harlem Childrens Zone, Marymount Manhattan College, FIT, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Baby Buggy (founder, Jessica Seinfeld), Connecticut College and The New School Parsons Paris. Mr. Clark has also written and edited a number of coffee table books on all areas of design.

	Iva Popovicova Colter, Ph.D., Consultant Iva Popovicova-Colter has worked for a number of executive search firms specializing in the not-for-profit sector in the New York City area. She has experience in identifying, sourcing, developing, and interviewing candidates for senior executive positions in the sector, with particular expertise in higher education. Dr. Colter received her doctorate in Comparative literature from Rutgers University and completed her MA in Gender and Culture from Central European University in Budapest. She has also worked as a researcher for Jami Bernard, movie critic from the Daily News, and is a member of the Executive Search Roundtable.

	Kathleen M. DeCoursey, Reference Specialist & Consultant Kathy DeCoursey has been conducting reference checks for Freeman Philanthropic Services since 2007. Her prior experience includes twenty-five years with an executive search firm involved in conducting searches at high levels in all industries. She also served for three and a half years as Office Manager for a private equity investment firm with over $1 billion of capital under management. Her volunteer work includes serving as a kitchen worker for God's Love We Deliver.

	Ann Jeffrey, Consultant Ann Jeffrey has provided networking, recruiting and reference checking services to FPS since 2005. Current searches include Associate Dean for Resource Development for Harvard School of Public Health, Vice President for Institutional Advancement for Pratt Institute, Vice President of Philanthropy for World Learning, and Vice President Strategic Marketing and Development for John Jay College, among others. Ann has more than 25 years of experience as an executive recruiter and holds an MSW from Washington University in St. Louis. She received the 2005 Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) Award for Excellence and Professionalism in Research.

	Tara Maroney, Research Specialist & Consultant Tara J. Maroney is a research specialist and consultant with FPS. Since joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Maroney has worked on multiple research projects for the not-for-profit sector with a focus on higher education, hospitals, social services and advocacy programs. She also has professional experience in corporate communications, marketing and investor relations. A former journalist, Tara worked as a senior staff writer at The Daily Campus, the University of Connecticut's daily newspaper and contributed 12 articles to the University Wire for national publication. She received her Master's of Science in Public Relations from Boston University with distinction. She also received a dual degree from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science in business administration (concentration in marketing) and a bachelor of arts in journalism and sociology.

	Tara M. Reese, Senior Consultant Tara M. Reese is the Senior Consultant for Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC, a national leader in executive recruitment for the not-for-profit sector, specializing in recruiting leaders for higher education institutions, hospitals, academic medical centers, social service, cultural, performing arts, and advocacy organizations. Since 2002, Ms. Reese has worked with a variety of FPS' clients on recruitment and consulting assignments; those clients include: Tufts University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Museum of Fine Arts - Boston, Americans for UNFPA, Fashion Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute, John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY, WaterAid America, City Year, World Food Program USA, the National Aquarium Institute, Peabody Essex Museum, The Childrens Storefront, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Case Western Reserve University. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and Women in Development of Greater Boston. She has active national and regional networks with AFP, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). She serves as a guest lecturer for Columbia University's Non-Profit Management Program. Ms. Reese received Bachelor's Degrees from Boston University and a MBA from Simmons College Graduate School of Management. She serves as a volunteer ESL tutor and teacher for Rosie's Place and a volunteer for American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay.
